The book “Financial Economy” is presented at UNEC
Presentation of the book “Financial Economy” has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
The scientific editor of the book is the rector, professor Adalat Muradov, the advisor is Zakir Nuriyev, the head of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, the authors are the professor of UNEC Zahid Mammadov and associate professor Adil Huseynov, the chairman of the management board of Rabitabank.
The presentation moderated by UNEC professor Zahid Mammadov was attended by the rector, professor Adalat Muradov, Milli Majlis committee chairman Sadiq Gurbanov, the chairman of the supervisory Board of Rabitabank, the head of ABA Zakir Nuriyev, heads of state and private institutions, professors and teachers.
Rector Adalat Muradov pointed out that the application of modern technologies poses serious challenges to universities and emphasized the importance of close cooperation of universities with technological companies and real sectors. A. Muradov expressed his gratitude to the authors, evaluating the fact that the book is a joint product of a well-known researcher and a well-known manager in the banking sector as the main advantage of the publication. He expressed his confidence that the book “Financial Economy” will play an important role in the balanced transfer of theoretical and practical knowledge meeting modern requirements to the students.
Zakir Nuriyev, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rabitabank, and head of ABA emphasized the importance for students of writing a book in a simple and understandable language that responds to modern challenges. He said that the book will make unique contributions to increasing students’ knowledge and skills in the field of finance.
The co-author of the book, the Chairman of the Board of Rabitabank, Associate Professor Adil Huseynov noted that most of the topics in the book, created as a result of university-industry cooperation, were developed and made for the first time in economic literature in Azerbaijan. He said that international experience was used in the process of preparing the topics, and the explanatory interpretation of concepts was given based on the experience of the modern Azerbaijani banking system.
Chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis, Sadiq Gurbanli, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the creation of the book and pointed out that the book, distinguished by its originality, is a valuable work in the field of finance and banking. The chairman of the committee emphasized that green finance is the need of the day and made a proposal to prepare a book on green banking, green insurance, green tax, and other areas in this direction.
The presentation continued with the speeches of Mirali Kazimov, the deputy head of the State Tax Service Training Center, the head of the department of BSU, professor Kamil Salimov and other participants.
