The “Employment Ranking of Graduates” platform is presented at UNEC
At the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) there was a presentation on the platform “Employment ranking of graduates” prepared by the State Employment Agency.
Mustafa Abbasbeyli, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency, who participated in the presentation, gave information about the “Employment Ranking of Graduates” platform and emphasized that the platform will bring new life to the education system of the country and create differences. The chairman said that the main goal is to ensure that young people are informed about the requirements of the labor market when choosing a profession and to create conditions for them to easily identify higher education schools where the required professions are taught. The platform will strengthen the competition between universities and will lead to the training of graduates prepared for the labor market and the specialization of higher education institutions in the future.
The rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov, praised the launch of the portal showing the employment status of graduates for the first time in the country and said that the system promises irreplaceable advantages for universities. The Rector emphasized that the competitive environment formed between universities in recent times will become stronger with the new platform. Adalat Muradov noted that “guaranteeing a graduate with a decent job in the labor market and the salary he receives is the price given to the university.”
Then, an extensive presentation was made on the advantages and use of the “Employment Ranking of Graduate” platform. It was stated that the main goal of the development of the “Graduate Employment Ranking” platform, which will be of interest to everyone related to the labor market and has the role of a main navigator in the selection of specialties, is to ensure the awareness of applicants about the employment opportunities of higher education institutions and to create a map of the employment rating of graduates.
The platform consists of 3 sections. Here are the names of the top 10 employers that provide the most jobs to the graduates of each university, types of economic activities, time intervals for the employment of graduates, their work according to their qualifications, gender, sector, field, salary ranges and other parameters, rankings of universities and specialties.
Using the ” Employment Ranking of Graduate” platform will also significantly contribute to the planning of admission to higher education institutions and the determination of quotas.
