Novruz at UNEC: Competition, racing
Novruz celebration has taken place at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on March 17.
Before the event Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov has ignited the bonfire of the celebration. Congratulating the academic and student staffs of UNEC on the occasion of Novruz Holiday, A.Muradov has characterized Novruz as a unity, moral purity, peace and an awakening of nature; noted the State of Azerbaijan is based on national values and national traditions. Rector said that the modern educational complex which will meet up-to-date standards will be constructed in the near future in the territory of the third academic building-School of Commodity Research of the University.
Afterwards khoncha competition and the competition of wrestling have taken place. Azerbaijan songs have been sounded by the overseas students. Performances by the students of the School of Commerce have also been demonstrated.
The winner of Novruz racing became the School of Commodity Research. The School of Technology and Design became II and the Commerce III.
The winners have been awarded with symbolic gifts.
