A virtual conference was held with the representatives of the Yunus Social Business Centers performing in different parts of the world. The performances of the Yunus Social Business Centers were discussed within the conference.
The idea of virtual conference was put forward during the meeting with the Laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize, Professor Mahammad Yunus attended by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov within the event of the Social Business Academy held in Paris in November.
Issues of Social Business Asia Pacific Forum to be attended by the representatives of all Yunus Centers of Asian – Pacific region, including Azerbaijan, and planned to be held in Malaisia in September 2017, applying for a grant of the United Nations Organization, Mahammad Yunus’ participation in the conference, collaboration among the all the Yunus Centers and the arrangement of the forum for graduate students were discussed within the online conference.
The participants of the virtual conference highlighted the significance of the Azerbaijani representatives’ participation and exchange of ideas in a series of important topics made by UNEC Rector and M.Yunus within the event of Social Business Academy held in Paris on November 9-10 2016.
The Head of UNEC’s International Relations Department Anar Kazimov spoke about the importance of the Yunus Social Business Center launched for the first time in the region at UNEC in June of the year. He expressed confidence for the promoting of the notion of social business at UNEC.
Delivering the information about the other forum to be held in Tokyo within 21-22 February 2017, the representative of the Japan Yunus Center Ashir Ahmad invited all the participants to the forum. Delegate of the Yunus Center performing in Thailand Faiz Shah provided the participant with the information about three directions of their Center-enlightening, training and performance. Spokesman of the Social Business Center in Malaysia Ahmad Rafuddin spoke about the work done by the center and the course of entrepreneurship organized by.
Targeted in more efficient performance of Yunus Social Business Centers it was decided to develop a single platform within the virtual conference. At the same time, the issues of the development of curricula in this direction, involvement of women in the social business entrepreneurship and organization of entrepreneurial courses in MBA level were debated.
Note that, the representatives of the International Eurasian Media Fund and establisher of Human Foundation Farida Asgerzade also attended the virtual conference beside UNEC.
