UNEC intends to raise Scientific Researches to the level of Modern Standards
The representative of “Thomson Reuters” has conducted a workshop at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on February 17.
Head of the Training Department of the International Information Agency “Thomson Reuters” Department of Scientific Researches and Intellectual Property Valeriy Bogorov has provided the information about the efficient use of the platform “Web of Science” during the workshop initiated by the Ministry of Education.
It was noted that a series of steps have been taken in the direction of transforming UNEC to the center for economic investigations and stimulating the scientific activity. It was also stressed that UNEC employees to publish articles in scientific journals included to scientific platform “WEB of Science” of “Thomson Reuters” would be granted disposable cash award. Within a short period of the award some UNEC employees have already published their articles in these journals.
The “Thomson Reuters” possessing “Web of Science” which combines 7 giant electronic scientific bases has created full access to relevant platforms for 40 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education.
Note that, UNEC is establishing the modern library which gives the opportunity of online access to the globe’s scientific platforms, including “Thomson Reuters”.
Note: A series of necessary steps in the direction of raising the level of scientific researches to modern standards held in universities and applying their results to economy, as well as intensifying international scientific relations have been taken by the Ministry of Education. One of the most important events in this direction was signing a contract between the Ministry of Education and the World’s Leading Transnational Mass Media Information Company on “Intellectual Property and Science” of “Thomson Reuters Corporation” on December 22 2015.
