A memorandum is signed between UNEC and PASHA Life Insurance
An event has been held to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and “PASHA Life Insurance” OJSC on the organization of events aimed at the professional development of young people.
The Rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov, Chairman of the Management Board of “PASHA Life Insurance” OJSC Niyaz Ismayilov, structural heads of the university and representatives of the company took part in the event.
Rector Adalat Muradov emphasized the importance of expanding UNEC’s relations with the real sector, as well as the formation of relations between the labour market in the education sector, in order to increase students’ practical knowledge and skills.
Also, the rector spoke about the important role of the “UNEC Extern” center in the online education system. He announced that 50 hybrid laboratories are successfully operating and that 50 more hybrid laboratories will be put into use in the current academic year. Rector Adalat Muradov expressed confidence that cooperation with “PASHA Life Insurance” OJSC will be beneficial for both parties.
Niyaz Ismayilov, the chairman of “PASHA Hayat Insurance” OJSC, emphasized the importance of acquiring practical skills along with qualifications, that the most stable tool for ensuring the employment of graduates is education. Emphasizing that UNEC graduates occupy a worthy place in the labour market with their knowledge and skills, the chairman said that a large percentage of employees in the company he leads are graduates of this higher education institution and that UNEC students are currently actively participating in the company’s internship programs on Data Science, Statistics and Econometrics. Niyaz Ismayilov emphasized that mutual cooperation will make new contributions to ensure the employment of graduates.
Then a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two parties. According to the document, it is planned to implement the project “Employment of UNEC Graduates”, educate students and graduates in the field of insurance, form new ideas in the field of insurance, organize competitions and joint projects, involve students in internship programs and cooperate in other areas.
