The delegation, including the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Mr. Elchin Eyvazov, the Director of the Distance and Additional Education Center, Mr. Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev, and the Deputy Director of the UNEC Business School, Mr. Vusal Karimli, was hosted by the University of Miskolc, located in the city of Miskolc, Hungary.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for General and Scientific Affairs of the University of Miskolc, Professor Peter Szücs; the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Mariann Verbes Samosi; the Vice-Dean of the same faculty, Dr. Szabolcs Nagy; the Head of the International Relations and Erasmus+ Office, Ms. Kristina Szoke; and other university staff members.
During the meeting, the UNEC delegation delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s recent achievements. Representatives of the University of Miskolc expressed high appreciation for UNEC’s accomplishments and showed particular interest in learning from its experience in the digitalization of education. Discussions focused on exploring practical directions for cooperation between the two universities, implementing joint dual-degree programs, facilitating student and faculty exchanges, strengthening existing ties, and advancing collaborative efforts to improve international rankings.
In addition, UNEC representatives delivered lectures to students at the University of Miskolc on topics such as “State Economic Policy,” “International Economics,” and “Internationalization in Higher Education.”
It should be noted that the University of Miskolc is one of Hungary’s most prestigious institutions, established on the foundation of the Selmec Academy, which dates back to 1735. The university, which specializes in economics and other disciplines, has an enrollment of over 11,000 students and ranks among the top 500 globally in mechanical engineering.
