Scientific-practical seminar on “The March 31 Genocide is an incredible crime against the humanity” was held at the Zagatala branch of UNEC.
Director of the branch, Professor Orujali Rzayev spoke about the ethnic cleansing and genocide policy of the Armenian nationalist-chauvinists, which lasted for two centuries. He said ten millions of people were killed in March of 1918 in Baku and provinces; mosques, schools and the architectural monuments were destroyed. The genocide policy pursued by the Armenian nationalists against our people for many years has been exposed after the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power. March 31 was declared Azerbaijan’s Genocide Day by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s decree signed on March 26 1998.
Head of the Department of “General Subjects”, Assistant Professor Hagigat Gadimova and Assistant Professor Jamal Arikhov spoke about the significance of delivering the issue of Azerbaijan’s massacre to world community and the work done in this direction recently.
Students performed literary composition within the event. A video devoted to the March 31 Genocide was demonstrated in the end.
