Candidate of Biological Sciences, Assistant Professor, Gurbanova Afila Ali
She was born on May 1, 1954 in Shahsevan village of Beylagan region.
In 1979 she graduated from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. She has been a candidate for a degree of Baku State University, in 2007 she defended her dissertation on “Study of microbiological sustainability of bakery products”. By the decision of the Higher Attestation Committee under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 24, 2008, she was awarded the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences.
In different years she worked as a laboratory assistant, teacher, senior lecturer at the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy, Baku State Commodity Research Institute.
Since 1995, she has worked as an assistant and senior lecturer at the department of Food Technology of the Baku State Commodity-Commercial Institute.
From 2000 to 2020 she was the head teacher of the “Food Technology” department of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
She is currently an associate professor at the department of “Engineering and Applied Sciences”, UNEC.
Since February 2014, she has been an associate professor of the department of “Food Technology”.

Her textbook “Food Physiology”, co-authored for the first time in Azerbaijan in 2003, was awarded by the leadership of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
She is the author of the textbook “Microbiology, Sanitation and Hygiene”, the monograph “Azerbaijani bread”, the textbook “Technology and expertise of wine”. She is one of the authors of the patent “Method of production of yeast dough for bakery and culinary products.”
She has made scientific reports at conferences held in the country, as well as at international conferences.
Her scientific articles have been published in Moscow, Mogilev and Kiev.
More than 50 theses, scientific articles, as well as guidelines and programs by her have been published.
