“Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production” student club at UNEC
Welcome to the Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production Student Club at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). We are a dedicated group of students with a shared passion for sustainability and a vision to create a greener and more sustainable future for our campus and beyond. Through collaborative efforts, education, and practical initiatives, our club aims to foster a culture of resource efficiency and cleaner production within the UNEC community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production Student Club is to promote and advocate for sustainable practices that enhance resource efficiency and minimize environmental impacts. We are committed to:
Raising Awareness: We strive to raise awareness among students and the wider UNEC community about the importance of sustainable resource management and cleaner production methods. Through workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns, we aim to inspire informed and conscious decision-making.
Encouraging Action: We believe that small actions can create significant impacts. By engaging in practical projects and initiatives, we encourage students to take active steps towards reducing waste, conserving resources, and adopting cleaner production techniques.
Fostering Collaboration: Collaboration is at the heart of our club’s efforts. We collaborate with other student organizations, faculty, and sustainability-focused initiatives at UNEC to leverage our collective strengths and work towards a more sustainable campus.
What We Do
Workshops and Seminars: We organize educational workshops and seminars that cover various topics related to sustainability, resource efficiency, and cleaner production. These events serve as platforms for knowledge sharing and open discussions.
Sustainable Projects: Our club initiates and participates in hands-on projects that focus on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices both on and off-campus.

Organizational chart:
Mirlazim Dadashov – Club President, who oversees the overall activities of the club.
Khayala Mirzayeva – Vice President, who assists the President in their duties and takes on leadership responsibilities when needed.
Gunel Khosrovlu – The Secretary, who is responsible for managing club communication and keeping records.
The core functional areas of the club are divided into three branches:
Sadig Yusifzada – Events Coordinator, who is in charge of planning and organizing sustainability-related events, workshops, and seminars.
Heydar Teymurov – Projects Coordinator, who focuses on managing and coordinating hands-on sustainability projects undertaken by the Club.
Farzali Nuriyev – Membership & Communication Officer, who handles membership recruitment and engagement efforts while also managing club communication channels and keeping members informed about upcoming activities.
