Meeting with the 1 and 2 year Part- time Undergraduate Students of the Distance, Part- time and Secondary Education Center
The Director of the Distance, Part- time and Secondary Education Center of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev has met with the 1 and 2 year part- time undergraduates.
S.Tanriverdiyev provided the first- year students with the information about the innovations applied at UNEC and the reforms held for the modernization of the teaching process. Pointing that the administration of the part- time education has already been built in accordance with the requirements of the credit system at UNEC for two years, the Center Director spoke about the essence and principles of the credit system and the Electronic University Model ensuring the proper digitalization of the teaching process at UNEC. Emphasizing the updating curricula and involvement of the young teachers to trainings, the Director drew to students’ attention that the selection of a foreign language depends on the students’ choice.
Informing that the autumn term of the second- year students started on October 3, Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev spoke about the totals of 2015/2016 academic year, analyzed the students’ comprehension, the work to be done to improve the comprehension percentage and the priority goals to improve the part-time education. Highlighting that the training process is short in part- time system, the Center Director stressed the necessity of providing the students with more modern, creative teaching methods and in general significance of getting educated in more quality environment. Broad debates on the part- time students’ student lives, provision of their participation in the social activities of the university and proposals on joining student organization were made by the director within the event.
Extensive discussions on the students’ questions took place in both events and the affairs related with the teaching process were heard by the Center Director.
