Cand. of Econ. Scien., Assoc.Prof., Ahmadov Ingilab Agajan
He was born in 1960 in Lankaran region. He received his secondary education in Lankaran region from 1967-to 1977.
He started his labor activity in 1977 on the state farm named after Akhundov in Lankaran as a worker. From May 1979 to June 1981 he served in the Soviet Army. After his discharge from the army, he worked in construction trust No. 104 in Leningrad.
From 1982 to 1987 he studied full-time at the faculty of Economics of Leningrad State University. After graduating with honours, he worked as a laboratory assistant at the department of Political Economy at the Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum and Chemistry named after M. Azizbayov.
In 1987 he was sent to Leningrad State University for an internship. In 1988, he entered the graduate school of the faculty of Economics of the same University. Two years later, in 1990, he defended his thesis ahead of schedule and was hired as a teacher at the department of Political Economy of the Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum and Chemistry in Baku.

From 1990 to 1994, he worked as a senior researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies. From October 1994, he worked as Deputy Director General at the Center for Socio-Psychological Research.
From November 1995 to June 2005, he served as Director-General of the analytical news agency Trend.
Since June 2003, he has been working as the director of the Public Funds Monitoring Center.
In October 2000, he defended his doctoral thesis on economics at the St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance.
He is an associate professor of the department “International Economics” (English) at UNEC (part-time).
