The Overseas Student became the Winner of the Competition “UNEC’s Khojali Outreach”

The competition “UNEC’s Khojali Outreach” dedicated to 24th anniversary of Khojali genocide has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on February 23. Students have made presentation prepared about the Khojali massacre within the competition organized by the Historical circle of the Creativity Center of UNEC. 19 students have made presentations in Azerbaijani, Russian and English during the competition. The purpose of the competition is to demonstrate UNEC students’ support to the campaign “Justice for Khojali” and at the same time to provide the younger generation’s awareness about the Khojali genocide.

The Jury- UNEC’s Vice Rector for Economic Affairs, veteran of Garabagh war Mikayil Zeynalov, Head of the Marketing and Communication Department Rasim Sharifov, teaching staff member of the Department Economics and Administration Araz Aslanli and the Chairman the Public Association of the recognition of Armenian aggression, Veteran of Garagh war, military correspondent Sariyya Muslimgizi evaluated the presentations in accordance with the new view to Khojali tragedy, richness of the material with historical facts and the quality of presentation.

The I place has won by the undergraduates of the School of International Economics John Aroqun and Ayla Mardanova, II place by the student of the Finance and Accounting Fidan Zeynalli and the student of the School of Commerce Elmin Aliyev and the III place by the student of the Faculty of Commerce ElshadGuliyev and the student of the Faculty Economics and Industry Jalil Abbasli.

All the participants were awarded the certificates.
