UNEC pays tribute to the Martyrs
On April 18 is the alumnus of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) Martyr Nazim Jabrayilov’s Commemoration Day.
Nazim Ibrahim Jabrayilov was born on March 2 1949 in Aghdam city. He graduated from the Faculty of “Economy of Trade” of Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy in 1970. He was assigned to Ashkhabad of Turkmenistan; served in the department of the IAD. Studying in the Kaliningrad police school he got the dual degree. After a while he came back to Motherland and the served as a military engineer in military a group of military vehicles №2711.
Nazim Jabrayilov was constantly on the front lines as one of the country’s first defenders from the beginning of the military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan. Taking an active part in the battles for Karabakh senior lieutenant N.Jabrayilov was appointed platoon commander by order of the Ministry of Defense. Showed great courage and bravery on April 13, 1994 were presented to the rank of captain before Nazim Jabrailov. Unfortunately, he was able to carry this rank. The same year, on April 18 was the last battle for the brave commander and his soldiers.
As the Armenian nationalists hated him his corps was not given to his family. Today, his tomb is in the hearts of the nation who love him.
After his death, Nazim Jabrayilov was awarded the nation’s highest award – “Azerbaijani Flag” Order.
Martyr’s wife, Rahile Jabrayilova has written a book reflecting his honorable battle and glorious life “Immortal monument”.
