UNEC students visited the family of martyr Ulvi Hajiyev
The chairman and activists of the UNEC Student Trade Union Committee visited the family and grave of UNEC graduate Ulvi Hajiyev, who was heroically martyred in the Patriotic War. UNEC student Agaali Guliyev, a veteran of the Second Karabakh War, also participated in the meeting.
Ulvi Hajiyev’s mother Hamida told the students about her memories of her son. He said that Ulvi is attached to his family and his homeland, and he won the love of his relatives and friends with his positive qualities. Mrs. Hamida said that her son was engaged in swimming from a young age and was awarded with a number of medals.
In 2012, Ulvi was admitted to the Russian department of the Faculty of Economics of UNEC. In 2016, after completing his bachelor’s degree, he received a master’s degree in English on “Business Organization and Management” and “Finance Specialization”.
Hamida Khanum, who said that Ulvi voluntarily went to the front when the Second Karabakh War started, said that her son contacted his relatives for the last time on October 15, and then they did not hear from him for nearly 50 days. Although his family did not lose hope that he was alive and would return home, they later received the news that Ulvi Hajiyev fought heroically in the battles in the direction of Fuzuli region and rose to the height of martyrdom.
Ulvi Hajiyev was buried on December 6 in II Fakhri Khiyaban. According to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, he was posthumously awarded medals “For the Motherland”, “For the release of Fuzuli”, “For the release of Khojavend”, “For the release of Jabrayil”.
At the meeting, Chairman of UNEC Student Trade Union Committee Rufat Suleymanli presented the Honorary Decree of THIK to the martyr’s family. He said that the dear memory of Ulvi Hajiyev, who ended his 26-year life as a hero, will live forever in the hearts of each of us.
Then the students visited the grave of Ulvi Hajiyev in II Fakhri Khiyaban, honored his dear memory and laid flowers in front of the grave.
