UNEC Tutors will operate in the Faculties
To improve the management structure of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) “Tutor Service” has been abolished in accordance with the Academic Board’s decision. After this UNEC tutors will operate in the content of the faculties. At the same time, the Department of “Electronic University” was established after the abolishment of the Departments of “Technological Innovation and Telecommunication” and “Statistics and Analysis” of the Center for Assessment and Management of the Quality of Teaching.
In this connection, Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov met with tutor staff of the university. Rector said reforms implemented at UNEC require improving the administration. Changes in management put ahead the condition for new reforms. Rector noted that UNEC establishes General Secretariat targeted in building management system meeting the modern requirements. According to the new system, the administrational management will absolutely separated from the academic management. The General Secretariat will coordinate the affairs done by the administrative staff.
The necessity of academic staff-tutors was especially highlighted in the meeting. Drawing the attention to the work done in improving the quality of teaching, it was noted that the teaching will be entirely regulated by e-journals in all UNEC buildings from 2017. It was also said the tutors will be trained on Electronic University Model. The employees of UNEC‘s Zagatala Branch and Financial Economic College were also said to be involved to trainings.
Discussions on the students’ individual training plan were made, proposals were heard within the meeting.
