Agreement on Dual Diploma between UNEC and the University of Montpellier has been signed
On April 6 UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov has visited the University of Montpellier of France. The agreement of dual diploma between UNEC and the University of Montpellier-one of the prestigious higher education institutions of Europe has been signed within the visit. The document will create the students of both Universities majoring in Economics, World Economy, Finance, Accounting and Organization and Management of Business the opportunity to get UNEC’s and the University of Montpellier’s diplomas.
Students studied the first two years of their education at UNEC and gained 120 credits with the English Language fluency can take part in the program which allows to get the both- the diploma of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and the University of Montpellier on the same major. Students selected for the program will be offered the opportunity of continuing their education on both variants in the III course.
Students chosen I variant will continue their III course education at the University of Montpellier. Gaining the required credits in the end of the course students will be sent back to UNEC and continue their training since the IV course. Our students will be provided with the student card of the University of Montpellier within the period.
As the second variant students are offered to continue their III course education at UNEC on the Program adapted to the curricula of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and the University of Montpellier. In this case, our students will get the credits of UNEC and the University of Montpellier as well taking the well- known Professors’ classes invited from the University of Montpellier on some disciplines.
Students chosen the both variants will continue the last academic year at UNEC after gaining the required credits in the III course. Our students defending their diploma theses under the supervision of both universities’ professors will be awarded both – UNEC’s and the University of Montpellier’s diplomas.
The Program provides UNEC students with the opportunity of carrying out scientific researches with the Professors of the University of Montpellier.
Students selected for the Program will be supported in visa and migration issues for traveling, determining addresses and banking operations by both universities. In addition, the integration week to familiarize students with the university, local traditions, country culture and social life will be organized.
Note: The establishment of relations with one of the prestigious higher education institutions the University of Montpellier has started with the event “Campus France” held in February of 2015 in Paris by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, a wide range of areas of cooperation between UNEC and this higher education institution has taken place and decided to sign an agreement between the two universities within the bilateral meeting.
The University of Montpellier which is the combination of the Montpellier 1 and Montpellier 2 founded in the XII century is providing the education services in Science, Technology and Medicine, Law and Economics at the International level. The University is ranked by the Shanghai Academic Rating and QS rating systems in this sense. The University of Montpellier is the 6th of France in terms of its capacity. 41000 student (including 16% international), as well as 1700 doctoral students are getting trained and 4300 scientific researchers perform here in different fields.
