UNEC ‘s Young Teaching Staff has tendered an oath
The ceremony of corporal oath of newly recruited young teaching staff has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on November 6.
Rector of University, Professor Adalat Muradov said today for the first time among the universities of higher education institutions of Azerbaijan education system the ceremony of signing the “Teaching Staff’s Ethical Guidelines” by the Ministry of Education has been held at UNEC. Rector emphasized that it was a right decision to hold teaching staff’s oath-taking adding the teacher is in charge of towards the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, his/her conscience and students. The teacher is obliged to perform his/her professional activity efficiently in the interests of society and state. He/ she should be an example of honesty for each person. Saying today we accept 16 young people to UNEC’s teaching family, Rector we wish these teachers to be the examples of teaching. Rector also noted to turn UNEC into the University of Dreams these young teaching staff members take a serious and honorable task. Rector expressed his confidence that young teachers can work properly on this sacred task.
Delivering information that the last year 121 teachers were involved to UNEC Rector A. Muradov said the figure will be 20 this year. Today 16 newly recruited young teachers tender an oath at UNEC and we are confident that they will do their best to achieve our forthcoming goals benefitting from the highly skilled staff’s experience. The Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov’s congratulations were delivered by the Head of the Ministry of Education Sector Sulhaddin Gozelov. He said that to hold the ceremony of oath-taking at UNEC is not accidental. S.Gozalov expressed confidence that the biggest economic- oriented university of Caucasus will be the world-class university due to these young teachers’ activities. He wished success for their pedagogical activities.
UNEC’s Professor Marifa Hajiyeva said that the event play an important role in increasing teaching staff’s confidence. Congratulating Azerbaijan’s first oath-taking teachers M. Hajiyeva suggested applying oath-taking gradually to all teachers.
Afterwards, the Republic of Azerbaijan’s State Anthem was sounded. Young teachers have solemnly tendered an oath putting their hands on the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and singed an oath in writing. The text of the oath will be kept in his/her personal file with the teacher’s signature.
