UNEC Team was awarded an Honorary Certificate
A team consisting of UNEC students participated in the International Cup race on orienteering devoted to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory.
The race was held in the forests of Nabran of Khachmaz and Galaalti of Shabran. T10 teams representing the ministries, organizations, power bodies, clubs and federations, companies, sport societies and higher education institutions of Turkey, Ukraine and Russian were competed on nine categories within the rivalry organized by the Sports Federation on Orienteering of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The International Cup race joined by more than 150 sportsmen was held on the sports lines drawn by the overseas experts in accordance with the international standards.
UNEC team was awarded an “Honorary Certificate” for its active participation. The third year student of the Russian School of Economics Mayya Ismayilova took the III place within the individual race held among the women.
UNEC team containing 2 girls and 4 boys was led by the trainer-teacher of the sports club “Igtisadchi” (Economist) Gazanfar Jafarov. UNEC team was represented by the student of the Russian School of Economics Mayya Ismayilova, Anelya Balabayova, Omar Azizli, students of the Faculty Economics Mirbaba Heydarli, Vasif Hasanli and SABAH student Elchin Zakariyyayev.
