Council of Elder’s Chairman was elected at ASUE
The first session by the Council of Elders was held at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
Rector of ASUE, Professor Adalat Muradov emphasized that there is a great demand for elders in his opening speech; he noted: “I consider the “Elders Council” as the advisory body of the Rector”.
Then the elections for the Chairman and Deputy Chairmen to the Elders Council were discussed. Head of the Department of “Commodity Research and Examination of Foodstuff”, Professor Ali Hasanov was elected a Chairman of the Council within the voting. Head of the Department “International Trade and Customs”, Professor Arif Shakaraliyev and the Associated Professor of the Department “International Economic Relations” Hasan Israfilov were elected Deputy Chairmen of the Elders Council.
Chairman and Deputy Chairmen were elected for two years.
Members of the Council are 15 influential employees of the University who made significant contributions to the development of the University, has great experience in training, administrative and social activity and has 65 and above.
Note: the Elders Council of ASUE was founded on June 30, 2014. The purpose of the establishment is to share the venerable teaching staff’s pedagogical, scientific, training and administrative experiences with the university administration, personnel and students, to support the growth of the university’s reputation in the nationwide educational, scientific and cultural processes.
