A Seminar on “Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Logistics and Trade” held at UNEC
Academic staff of UNEC School of Business and Management attended a workshop on “Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Logistics and Trade in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The School Dean, Associate Professor Miragha Ahmadov spoke about the role of human capital in the development of logistics and trade which is the integral part of business infrastructure. He said the developed countries like the US, Japan and Southern Korea gained huge profits from the human capital prepared by the education system. The human capital plays a major role in increasing labor productivity in the business structures, sustainable economic growth and in upgrading competitiveness.
Head of the Department of “Marketing”, Professor Telman Imanov delivered a speech on the target indicators, strategic objectives and priorities of the “Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Logistics and Trade in the Republic of Azerbaijan” which plays significant role in ensuring competitiveness, inclusiveness and a balance between the real and financial sectors as well.
Pointing the logistics and trade as an important driving force of economic growth in a rapidly globalizing world, teaching staff of the Department of “Marketing”, Assistant Professor Eldar Guliyev stressed it to increase the amount of foreign direct investment in key sectors.
The workshop went on with the debates of the Head of the Department of “Trade and Organization of Customs Affairs”, Prof. Arif Shakaraliyev, Head of the Department of “Business Administration”, Assist. Prof. Mahammad Aliyev, Head of the Department of “Management”, Prof. Kamil Shahbasov and the members of the teaching staff.
