About the UNEC Digital  Volunteers Organization

From 01.06.2024 to 01.06.2025, Arabi Asadullah Seyid Hadi oglu (Faculty of Turkish World Economy, gr. 264 M) was elected as the chairman of UNEC Digital Volunteers Organization.

I.General provisions

1.1. The Digital Volunteers Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Organization) is an organization established at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (hereinafter UNEC) on the basis of membership of students with digital skills.

1.2. UNEC students can become members of the Digital Volunteers and become involved in technical volunteering.

1.3. The activities of the organization are based on the principles of voluntariness, equality of rights and self-government.

1.4. The organization is guided by the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, relevant decisions, orders, decrees of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State  University of Economics, the Charter of the University and this Regulation.

1.5. The organization does not have the status of a legal entity.

1.6. The organization may have its own logo and a letterhead with the logo, as well as its banner.

 II.Gols and objectives of the organization

2.1. The main purpose of the organization is to develop students’ digital skills, provide technical support to the academic staff, the workers and   student staff of the university, assist in creating an effective mechanism in this area and help students to systematically implement measures to develop basic work skills;

2.2. The main tasks of the organization are;

2.2.1. To develop students’ digital skills;

2.2.2. To provide technical support to the academic staff, student staff and work staff of the University;

2.2.3. To provide educational support in the field of digital technologies for the academic staff of   UNEC  and students;

2.2.4. Ensure support for the effective use of social media accounts by the academic staff;

2.2.5. Carrying out systematic work on the formation of basic work habits in students.

III. Rights and responsibilities of members of the organization

3.1. Volunteer rights:

3.1.1. To get information about the activities of the organization;

3.1.2. Require the organization to create working conditions that protect the life and health of the volunteer in accordance with the rules governing the activities of volunteers, and, if necessary, conduct training on the norms and rules of  labor protection;

3.1.3. To receive information from the organization about the conditions and nature of voluntary activity;

3.1.4. Publicize information about the organization’s volunteer activities;

3.1.5. To require   from the organization a relevant document confirming the voluntary activity, indicating the place, scope, nature and time of the work performed;

3.1.6. Participate in events organized by the organization;

3.2. Responsibilities of volunteers;

3.2.1. To follow   the rules of labor protection and safety in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

3.2.2. Follow   the rules of internal discipline, including ethical conduct;

3.2.3. To submit a report on voluntary activities on the requirement of the organization;

3.2.4. To follow the instructions of the organization in accordance with the regulations;

3.2.5. To be liable for material damage to the organization and state property;

3.2.6. To keep confidential information defined by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic confidential;

3.2.7. Treat state property with care and attention.

 

IV. Тhe structure and activities of the organization

4.1. Relevant structural units may be established within the organization.

4.2. The organization’s activities are regulated by the organization’s management.

4.3. A Management Board is established within the organization. In the structure of the organization, the general meeting is considered the highest body.

4.3.1. The general meeting is held at least once a semester. Proposals are accepted by a simple majority.

4.3.2. The report of the Chairman of the Management Board on the work done is being heard.

4.4. The work done within the organization is summed up at the general meeting. Appropriate work is carried out to reward and encourage students who excel in their successful activities.

4.5. The organization reports to the university administration on the work done and takes into account the suggestions of the administration.

4.6. The organization is managed by the Management Board of the organization.

4.7. The activities of the organization are mainly based on the following areas:

4.7.1. To develop students’ digital skills;

4.7.2. To increase the IT skills of the children of martyrs and veterans;

4.7.3. To use useful electronic information resources in education;

4.7.4. To promote innovative payment technologies to increase digital knowledge;

4.7.5. To provide technical support in case of request;

4.8. The organization’s activities are supervised by the UNEC leadership.

4.9. The functions of the organization include:

4.9.1. Ensuring the organization’s recognition at the university;

4.9.2. Inf students in volunteer activities within the university.

 

 V. Management bodies of the organization

5.1. The board is composed of 1 student from each faculty .

5.2. The chairman of the organization is elected from among the members of the Management Board.

5.3. The board includes the chairman of the organization, his deputies and other students by the relevant decision.

5.4. Board of Directors:

5.4.1. Accepts and dismisses members of the organization.

5.4.2. Approves the main action plans of the organization.

5.4.3. Makes proposals on relevant projects.

5.4.4. Opens a representative office of the organization in the branch of the university.

 

 VI. Establishment and liquidation of the organization

6.1. The organization is established and abolished at the university by the decision of the UNEC Scientific Council and the order of the rector.

 

In 2023-2024, Jafarisadig Ibrahimov was the chairman of the Digital Volunteers Organization. From 01.06.2024 to 01.06.2025, Asadullah Arabi (Turkish World Faculty of Economics, gr. 264M) was elected as the Chairman of UNEC Digital Volunteer Organization.
