The Laboratory “Innovative Banking” opened at UNEC
The official opening of the laboratory “Innovative Banking” has taken place at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on September 22. Beside the university and bank administration, the academic staff and students participated in the opening of the laboratory launched with support of “Kapital Bank”.
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov and the Chairman of the “Kapital Bank’s” Executive Board Rovshan Allahverdiyev became familiar with the lecture room prepared for SABAH Group students and supplied with modern equipment, bank programs and e- resources.
Speaking about the significance of the laboratory, UNEC Rector said this is the fourth laboratory operating in the financial sector. A.Muradov noted that the laboratory would play important role in the development of highly skilled specialists meeting the requirements of banking sector. In addition to theoretical knowledge students will also obtain practical skills in the specialized laboratory. Rector advised the students to compete for the knowledge.
Chairman of the “Kapital Bank’s” Executive Board Rovshan Allahverdiyev said that the kind of laboratory creates unique opportunities for the students at the university he graduated from. He said the laboratory which is a part of the bank’s social policy would play important role in bilateral cooperation. He drew to attention that they are interested in receiving proposals from the students to improve the laboratory “Innovative Banking”.
Afterwards, students were introduced the presentation on “Opening of a Current Account”.
The computers of the “Innovative Banking” laboratory were downloaded a demo version of the banking operation program and the student will have a chance of implementing 4 banking operations here. Trainings will be conducted by the trained teaching staff or the students of the university.
Note: UNEC and the “Kapital Bank” signed a contract of cooperation on March 10 2016. The establishment of the laboratory “Innovative Banking”, granting of the students with high academic indicators, internship of the students in different structural units of the bank and the organization of joint scientific and technical conferences and exchange of experiences are planned in accordance with the document.
