UNEC’s Rector: “The process of recruiting young and experienced staff to UNEC will be speeded up”
Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Professor Adalat Muradov met with a first year undergraduate students of the School of Accounting. Rector spoke about the events implemented to increase the prestige of the University.
During his speech, Rector delivered information about the Undergraduate Program, Dual Degree Program the International School of Economics and the Project of “E-University”. He said that for sustainable success UNEC teaching staff members have to be able to compete with those in the universities of the world; however the students’ knowledge should be of higher level. Informing the students that 68 of 121newly recruited young teachers graduated from the universities of Europe, America and Canada, Rector noted that the young, experienced and educated abroad teachers were involved to the University for the Development of qualified personnel. The process of involving young and experienced cadres to university will be speeded up.
Transparency of the teaching and students staffs’ relation was especially highlighted by the Rector. He said the student is a “mirror” of the university. Along with the literate and competent students we are growing up personality. Teachers and students should follow mutual respect principles.
Speaking about the competent students’ stimulation Rector noted that 100 AZN of scholarship is given to students enrolled to University with more than 600 points and the process of encouraging will be continued. Rector recommended the students to approach seriously to their disciplines to benefit from the advantages offered.
Students were advised to take a chance of using opportunities offered by the UNEC Creative Center, Radio UNEC and sports halls.
In the end the first year students’ questions were responded and proposals by were heard.
