UNEC offers to arrange “Science Slam’ among the Universities
On May 5, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov discussed the results of the competition “I UNEC Science Slam”.
Congratulating the finalists, UNEC Rector provided them recommendations. He said our aim is to create a healthy university environment where students will be able to deliver their ideas freely, as well as educated and skilled young people are exposed. A.Muradov added that the contest will further be upgraded in the future. He also proposed to arrange “Science Slam”, held in Azerbaijan for the first time, among the universities of the country. He highlighted that the project would be in progress within the year starting from the new academic year; winners will be defined on the groups and faculties and in May the final conference will take place. To achieve the perfection in the organization of the “Science Slam” a “Consulting Service” will be perform and direct the students in the selection of topics.
Speaking about the advantages brought by “Science Slam”, Rector said a base would be created at UNEC on the basis of the students joined the competition. The participants of the “Science Slam” will represent UNEC in foreign countries, as well as in the international conferences held in the prestigious universities. Winners will be released from the final attestation in the final course. It will stimulate the participants and motivate other students; improve their interest in scientific research. Winners of Science Slam may be involved in UNEC either as consultants or mentors.
Students’ views on the project were heard, their questions were answered within the meeting.
The finalists of “I UNEC Science Slam” were introduced certificates in the end.
