Representatives of the State Service on Anti-monopoly Policy and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan have held a workshop at UNEC. The seminar was on “Our priority objective is the protection of consumer rights”.

Vice-rector for Administrational and Organizational Affairs Shaig Asgerov spoke about the innovations implemented at UNEC recently. He said meetings with the representatives of the state and private bodies were being regularly held at UNEC ad seminars are organized. Sh.Asgerov stressed the necessity of the kind of measures in providing the students with the practical knowledge besides teaching them theoretical knowledge.

Dean of the Faculty Business and Management, Assistant Professor Miragha Ahmadov delivered the information about the majors taught in the faculty. He noted skilled personnel in Business Administration, Management, Marketing and Commerce are being developed at UNEC.

Bringing to attention the main targets of the new economic model revealed by the President of the country within the meeting of non-oil exporters in Yevlakh, the Dean highlighted that the goals set forth by the Head of the state would be supported in the university level. He said UNEC would prepare the export professionals.

Deputy Chairman of the Anti-monopoly Policy and the SSPCR Araz Aliyev made a report on “Our priority objective is the protection of consumer rights”. He delivered the information about the work done in the area of consumer rights and protection of them. He pointed that broad affairs are held in the direction of protection of consumer rights with the authorized bodies.

Drawing the attention to increasing the number of productions and service fields in the country, Head of the Sector on Anti-monopoly Policy and SSPCR Yusif Huseynov said that one of the main directions of the events implemented in area is the provision of quality and safe products to population. He spoke about the items that do not meet the requirements of the normative documents and are brought to market, despite the necessary measures taken by the state service. He noted that the consumer has the right to appeal to the state service in this case and their rights will be defined on the basis of the legislations.
