UNEC Students were awarded Honorary Diploma on the sports type “Orienteering”
Students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) participated in the Open Republic Championship on “Orienteering” sports type organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the trainings conducted by the coach-teacher Gazanfar Jafarov of the sport club “Igtisadchi” (Economist) the students of the university were awarded honorary diplomas.
During the next Open Republic Championship held in the Galaalti forest line of Shabran region and Nabran forest line of Khachmaz region about 250 sportsmen competed in 14 teams. The sportsmen competed in middle and long distances on the categories “Elite”, “Open” and “Junior”. The sportsmen from Latvia, Georgia, Turkey and the Ukraine have also participated in the competition. The competition was held on sports maps drawn by the foreign experts known in the field of sports mapping in accordance with the international standards.
