ASUE Employees participated in the Republic Scientific-Practical Conference
The Republic Scientific-practical Conference on “Organization of Digital Libraries in Higher Schools and their Effective Usage” was held at Baku Business School. ASUE was represented at the Conference by ICT Center Director Zohre Hasanova and the employees of the Center Ofeliya Mazanova, Hasan Ismayilov, Director of the Fundamental Library Nazifa Bakhtiyarova, branch Director of the Library at the second training building Rasmiyya Mustyafayeva and the chief bibliographer Arzu Mammadova.
The importance of establishing a system of integrated digitalization of high school libraries, the existence of a single information space allowing the exchange of information and the importance of the use by educational institutions and other issues were discussed within the conference. Discussions on the experiences of the leading libraries of our Republic had also been heard.
Information about the restoration of the ASUE Fundamental Library’s activities in an organized way with all departments and significant steps in automation of the library since 2014, implementation of new projects and the new library webpage were delivered at the conference. A report “Technical Software of the Fundamental Library of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and Improvement of the Quality of Service” prepared by H.Ismayilov together with R.Mustafayeva and A.Mammadova were of great interest by the participants.
