Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) announces a grant competition to stimulate the contribution of scientists to the implementation of “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development” approved by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 2, 2021 in the calendar year 2022 in accordance with the regulations “On the system of financing research from the funds of the university on a competitive basis” in terms of support and development of research at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
Only employees, PhD students, masters who have received TIN from the tax authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and work at UNEC, as well as representatives of temporary scientific teams formed from them during the preparation of the draft application for the competition can participate in the competition.
Project proposals must be submitted in accordance with the forms attached to the regulations on the system of financing research from university funds on a competitive basis in terms of support and development of research work at UNEC. The appendices should provide brief information about the project, its purpose, implementation period, cost estimate, management scheme, structure, manager and executors.
1. Projects should be in the following areas:
- Formation and development of digital economy in Azerbaijan;
- Application and use of Blockchain technology in the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan;
- Formation of “green” economy in Azerbaijan;
- Production of science-intensive products: Development mechanism of University-State-Industrial relations;
- Resource potential of the liberated territories and involvement of this potential in the economic turnover of the country;
- Geoeconomic effects of the Zangazur corridor;
- “Smart Village” and “Smart City”: management model;
- Karabakh University model;
- Creation of functional materials with practical application on the basis of composite systems.

2. The cost of the project is up to a maximum of 30 (thirty) thousand manats and the implementation period is up to 6 months;
- the work proposed in the project should not be the subject of projects funded by any grants or other sources;
- Each bidder can participate in the competition only one application;
- All projects, as a rule, must be submitted in 2 copies, in the Azerbaijani language, in electronic form (PDF format);
- The results of the competition will be announced two months after the announcement date;
- Those interested in participating should send applications and project proposals (orders) in the form of supplements in electronic form (PDF form) to the e-mail address [email protected] no later than 18.00 within one month from the date of announcement of the grant competition.
3. In order to receive an internal grant from UNEC, an application is submitted for participation in the competition. The application must contain the following information:
– purpose of the project, issues, substantiation of relevance;
– project annotation;
– keywords that fully reflect the content of the project;
– A brief overview of the scientific direction of the project and the problem;
– scientific idea of the project;
– Expected results of the project, their scientific and practical significance.
The following documents are attached to the application:
- a detailed schedule of research on the project;
- detailed information about the applicants;
- Substantiated cost estimate for the grant project.
