First Workshop held by the Financial Laboratory
On November 23 the first workshop about “International Financial Markets” on the discipline of International Currency and Credit Relations” was held by “Baku Stock Exchange” JSC in the Financial Laboratory performing at Azerbaijan State University of Economics in accordance with the curriculum of the University.
Students were informed about the financial markets, their participants and the tools traded to these markets via different multimedia facilities during the seminar.
Within the workshop students became visually familiarized with the activities of stock exchanges, principles of formation of stock prices and took part in the simulation of trade operations by means of the “Electronic Exchange Simulator”.
It should be noted that the autonomous open mode simulator of trading on the stock exchange, multi- user real market principles based, the first business- game in Azerbaijan “Electronic Exchange Simulator” developed by BSE was installed in the Laboratory on September 22 2015. Being the innovative and interactive teaching facility the platform allows the students to learn Initial Public Offering and working principles of market, to participate in real trading operations and to learn analytic decision- making skills.
We are pleased to inform that the affairs noted are being implemented within the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the State Committee on Securities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan State University of Economics and at the same time the project “BSE Knowledge Exchange” realized by “Baku Stock exchange”.
The purpose of the affairs done is to contribute to the speedy development of Azerbaijan Economy and to cooperate in the direction of the development highly skilled cadres in Securities Market.
