The National Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated at UNEC
A commemoration ceremony dedicated to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on December 10.
Initially, the participants of the event have laid flowers in front of the monument erected at the University.
The memorial ceremony was continued in the Heydar Aliyev Center of UNEC. First of all, the Great Leader’s memory was honored in a minute’s silence.
UNEC’s Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov said that “Heydar Aliyev is a height so that it is not possible to reach it” having regard to the Great Leader’s meaningful life. “The cornerstone of Azerbaijan’s development today had been put by the Great Leader in early stages of his leadership in the country”. Saying “We are indebted to our National Leader for taking our country out of crisis and bringing it among the dynamically developing countries”, the Rector emphasized that the genius person’s role in the development of Azerbaijan education is irreplaceable. Rector noted that Heydar Aliyev’s services in the development of the Azerbaijani language as the national language, as well as the state language are truly irreplaceable.
Noting that UNEC is in the first place among the universities and the leader in the training of skilled personnel, rector said he hopes the graduates of the higher education center will be formed as famous personalities not only in Azerbaijan but in global scale in future. It was said that, the reforms are being realized on the basis of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s recommendations and his worthy successor President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions given to us.
Chairman of the Committee on Regional Issues of the Parliament Arif Rahimzade spoke about the work done by the National Leader in Azerbaijan, his politics and the largest projects implemented. He said with the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to political power in June 1993 Azerbaijan first and foremost survived from being destroyed and separated. Heydar Alyev’s greatness eliminated the dangers come upon Azerbaijan due to the ability to determine his country’s role in the world community, its location and the ability of pursuing people behind. Starting from 1995, there was a period of revival in economy, culture and morality. Azerbaijan’s began to integrate the world community. The new Constitution of our independent state was adopted; the idea of statehood and Azerbaijanism took shape.
Rahimzade stressed that independent Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and has strengthened its position in the world community, become a leader in the region noting our Great Leader’s bright memory will forever occupy the highest place and be remembered by our people.
Making a speech, the Professor of the University stressed Heydar Aliyev’s inexhaustible contribution to the development of economy, science, education and culture, its integration into the world community and spoke about importance of the present and future development strategy defined by.
Other participants of the event spoke about the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s indispensable role in the establishment of the independent Azerbaijan state, its development and popularization in the world.
