“Science Month” was completed at UNEC

The “Science Month” dedicated to the World Science Day” at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was completed on November 10.

Within the final event, the Director of the Scientific-research Institute of Economic Studies, Professor Yadulla Hasanli made a report on “The Role of Science in the Development of Human”. Professor Y.Hasanli acquainted the audience with the transmission mechanism and conception of human development effect and revealed some statistic indicators related with the impact of science in human development.

Director of the Science and Innovations Center of UNEC, Professor Sakit Yagubov made a report about the implementation of a series of events held within the Science Month. He noted that a range of events such as scientific workshops, round-table discussions targeted in increasing the attractiveness of scientific activity, stimulate the academic and students staffs to scientific-research works, to reveal the research fellow’s potential and introduce them to community were held within the “Science Month” in October-November. The education expert’s and the university professors’ reports on the Nobel Prize Laureates in Economic Sciences were heard within the period. Reports were broadcast lively on Facebook.

The speaker also pointed the implementation of the relevant events in UNEC’s Zagatala Branch and Azerbaijan Financial and Economics College performing under UNEC.

S.Yagubov spoke about the first TEDxUNEC Conference held on “Combination of Education and Science”. He said that the speakers possessing great experience in education and science shared their valuable views within the conference.

The competition of scientific articles written by UNEC’s academic staff, young research fellows and graduate students on “Socio-economic Development of Azerbaijan: Achievements and Perspectives” was held within the “Science Month”. 10 professors, 17 assistant professors, 18 teachers, 14 doctoral students, 27 graduate students and 32 undergraduate students submitted in general 118 articles. Winners of the contest were defined by the relevant commission of the competition.
