UNEC student became Caucasus champion
Solmaz Zeynalli, a fifth-year student of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), has become the Caucasus Champion of karate style of kyokushin.
Professor Adalat Muradov, rector of UNEC, met Solmaz Zeynalli, the owner of the World Cup and the winner of the national championship for many times. Rector Adalat Muradov congratulated Solmaz Zeynalli on the occasion of awarding a gold medal successfully representing our country. Speaking about President Ilham Aliyev’s attention to youth and sports, the rector said that Azerbaijan is known as a sports country in the world. The rector noted that at UNEC, the university has all the necessary conditions for students to get a high level of education and to engage in sports and social activities. Expressing his pride in the success of the students, professor Adalat Muradov wished the UNEC student success in education and sporting events.
At the meeting, vice-rector for student affairs, associate professor Saadat Gandilova said that S.Zeynalli treated both sport and his lessons responsibly.
Solmaz Zeynalli expressed his gratitude to the rector for the conditions creatded for the students at UNEC. The UNEC student stressed that he would always raise the flag of Azerbaijan to the peaks.
