UNEC’s Debate: Prospects for Green Investment
Scientific workshop on Prospects of Green Investment in the Country has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on January 29.
The scientific seminar aims to determine the necessity of greening in the direction of financing and crediting the economy and to suggest appropriate measures to strengthen the policy framework and capacity.
UNEC Professor Zahid Farrukh Mammadov noted that the development conception “Azerbaijan 2020: Vision to Future” create broad opportunities for the development of green economy. One of the main goals of the conception is to achieve environmentally sustainable socio-economic development. Professor highlighted in his speech at a time when the global environmental and social problems are fore fronted one of the most urgent problems that Azerbaijan facing is the concept of sustainable development and rational policy choice.
The employee of BG AGT Gunel Huseynova has made a report on “Prospects of Green Economy in the context of the Development Conception “Azerbaijan 2020: Vision to Future”. She said the investments of social orientation on global manner are of very high interest. According to Huseynova the described key issues are related to the implementation of innovative and practical tools. These are not just limited to the promotion of green enterprises, as well as innovative mechanisms that encourage promoting industrial greening.
The reporter said there are important terms for capacity building and the implementation of social development projects. She added that the research methodology includes statistic tools, as well as determination of correlation analysis and quality tools.
