The rector of UNEC pays an official visit to Georgia
The delegation headed by the Rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov has paid an official visit to Georgia.
The visiting UNEC delegation held several business meetings at the invitation of Alexander Tevzadze, rector of Kutaisi International University (KBU) of Georgia.
On the first day of the visit, Rector Adalat Muradov met with KBU Rector Aleksander Tevzadze. At the meeting, UNEC representatives were informed about Kutaisi International University. It was reported that KTU, which has started admitting students since 2020 and provides education in English, works together with the Technical University of Munich in Germany. It was noted that the main reason for opening the university in Kutaisi is to stimulate the development of that region. It was noted that a large part of the teaching staff is from Germany.
Then, possible areas of cooperation between the two universities were discussed, including opening a joint major, exchange of teachers and students, conducting research, and creating laboratories. At the end of the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
The next meeting of the delegation led by the rector of UNEC was held at Tbilisi International School of Economics (ISET).
It was stated at the meeting that ISET was established in 2016 together with Tbilisi State University and the World Bank and provides education in English.
Rector Adalat Muradov said that the International School of Economics (ISE), which teaches in English, operates at UNEC. He pointed out that ISE is recognized as a brand faculty in the country and has students and graduates who achieve high results in their fields.
After discussing the directions of cooperation between ISET and UNEC, decisions were made that could be useful for both universities.
